AU WCL Community Garden

In 2019, the Community Garden was established through the collaborative efforts of WCL's Office of Student Affairs as well as PEEL students, staff, and faculty. Since its inception, this vibrant space has evolved into a space of inclusivity and safety, welcoming all AUWCL students, faculty, and staff to come together in the spirit of gardening, cooperation, and the advancement of shared values. Within this nurturing environment, individuals unite to promote the principles of unity, health, wellness, food equity, fellowship, and environmentalism.

Garden Work Days

Throughout the semester, students, staff, and faculty participated in "Garden Workdays," gathering twice a week to sow seeds, harvest crops, carry out necessary repairs, and engage in various other garden-related activities. These gatherings foster a sense of community, as participants collectively contribute to the garden's growth and development.
