NRHH at American University

The National Residence Hall Honorary at American University is made up of the top one percent of students, all dedicated to service and recognition. We serve the community in a variety of ways, and we have many exciting opportunities set up for this semester! We are also passionate about giving thanks back to our own AU community; through our Of The Month program (OTMs), we highlight members of our residence halls and the positive impact they have made.

NRHH is a student-run community service-oriented organization! We host a number of service events throughout the year that benefit both the AU and D.C. community. We also provide recognition to student and professional staff on campus. We are part of regional and national organizations that provide select opportunities to go to conferences and connect with other chapters. NRHH looks great on your résumé, too!

Eligibility:

Lived in the residence halls for at least one full semester
Exhibited outstanding leadership and service to the AU’s residential communities
Minimum GPA of 2.5

Resumes 101

Of the Months (OTMS)

OTMs are a way to recognize the AU community members and increase engagement of residents in the halls. Each month, you are able to submit a (maximum) 600 word nomination about someone at AU that made a positive impact on you or the community. OTMs are due by 11:59pm on the last day of each month. The NRHH Executive Board will select a winner per category each month to recieve the overall recogition of the month.
