International Legal Studies Program celebrates its 40th anniversary
Amid trade wars and ground wars, this program dedicated to upholding a strong international legal order has never been more relevant.
To mark its anniversary, the program will host two days of conversations Oct. 20 and 21 at WCL’s campus looking back at lessons learned over the last 40 years and ahead to the issues lawyers need to confront today and into the future. There will also be activities for program alumni Oct. 22.
Highlighted topics include “Future of Business - ESG and Beyond”; “International Organizations in Times of Crisis”; and “Assessing International Justice: Ukraine and Beyond.” Ricardo Ramírez-Hernández, a 1994 graduate and a former Appellate Body Member and Chairperson, World Trade Organization, will deliver the Wenger Endowed Lecture in International Trade as part of the celebration.
