DESCRIPTION
When it comes to cyber threats and national security, the Biden Administration has had no choice but to hit the ground sprinting. The SolarWinds hack, which Microsoft’s President, Brad Smith, recently described "as the largest and most sophisticated attack the world has ever seen,” is a stark reminder that as a nation we remain dangerously and unacceptably cyber insecure. Widely attributed to Russia, a response to the operation is not far in the offing according to Jake Sullivan, President Biden’s National Security Advisor. What that response should look like, and what steps the Administration should take to better secure the United States from cyber threats, will be the focus of an in-depth discussion with Tom Bossert, the former Homeland Security Advisor to Presidents George W. Bush and Donald Trump.
