On July 5, PIJIP Senior Researcher Andrés Izquierdo will present at a virtual conference on "Text and Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence and Copyright", co hosted by PIJIP and the Dominican Republic's National Office of Copyright.

His talk will review basic concepts of TDM and Artificial Intelligence based on the most recent government, scientific and technological publications. It will give an overview of the copyright legal aspects of TDM, including reproduction and communication, and will refer to recent amendments done at a national and regional level. Finally, Izquierdo will offer comments on possible future public policy changes in this field of law.
