American University’ Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property, Knowledge Ecology International and the Access to Knowledge Coalition recently hosted a technical briefing on the legal and policy issues at stake in the 43rd meeting of the World Intellectual Property Organization’s Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights.
The SCCR will be meeting on March 13-17, 2023. Major issues on the agenda include consideration of the Second Revised Draft Text for the WIPO Broadcasting Organizations Treaty, Proposal by the African Group for a Draft Work Program on Exceptions and Limitations, and a Toolkit on Preservation by Cultural Heritage Institutions.
