1. What are the Program dates?

  • The three-week long program starts on the last Monday of May, on Memorial Day and concludes on Friday the third week of the program. The first day of the program is a mandatory orientation day. You can find more information under the Description section of Modalities of Attendance here.

  • The admissions are decided on a rolling basis. You do not have to wait until May 1 to submit an application.

Participation Information

2. Are there language requirements?

  • Participants are expected to have at least a working language proficiency for the language the course will be taught in. 
  • The English language proficiency test details can be found under the eligibility page.

3. Is it possible to make it on time to back-to-back classes? 

  • The classrooms are all located fairly near to each other, and you should be able to make it on time to the next class. There are also several elevators and stairs located throughout the WCL campus that allow for efficient passing periods.

5. Can I participate remotely?

  • In order to provide participants with a memorable experience, the Academy is proud to conduct the Program in-person on the Washington College of Law campus in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately, we are no longer offering a remote component and all participants are expected to attend in-person, as attendance also counts towards credit. 

6. Can I work in the US during my participation in the summer program

7. What are the policies for exams and reading period?

  • The reading period starts a week after the classes have ended and lasts for a week. After this, there will be an exam period for two weeks. You can find the general timeframes for the reading period and the exams on the right side of this page.
