Yvonne is a Nigerian and Swiss trained Lawyer who acquired her Barrister and Solicitor-ship qualification from Madonna University and Nigerian Law School Abuja. She has been an official member of the Nigerian Bar Association for fourteen (16) years. Yvonne currently holds two Master’s degrees in International Trade and International Business Law from the International University Geneva and University of Lausanne in Switzerland respectively, where she graduated with a Distinction (Magna Cum Laude). Yvonne Co-authored a book titled “Perspectives on SDG-17 partnerships” where she proposed practical solutions to help advance some sustainable development goal targets. Yvonne has gained valuable expertise in the field of Intellectual property and International Trade Law from her work at the Federal Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment for a period of 6 years, where she served in the capacity of a Principal Assistant Registrar, Opposition Panel Judge, IP Examiner and IP Policy Adviser. Yvonne is currently a Diplomat where she serves as a Trade Negotiator at the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the World Trade Organization Geneva and has worked in that capacity for a period of 6 years. During her work as a Diplomat, she played key dual roles roles in Negotiating beneficial multilateral trade agreements on behalf of the Nigerian Government and on behalf of the WTO African Group. Yvonne is currently pursuing her SJD degree at the American University Washington College of Law.
