What was the most valuable thing you learned from WeLead?
The strength in unity. The program truly encouraged me to lean on other powerful and influential women. It truly motivated me to be who I am and walk in my greatness.
What was your favorite part of the program?
Being able to meet so many amazing powerhouses and meeting the Women and Politics staff.
What advice would you give to the current WeLead class?
Take advantage of the relationships you will form through this program. Regardless of their political party or ideals, your WeLead cohort will become life-long friends. Not to mention, most of you will become the world's next leaders and game changers. You are stronger together!
How did you secure your current position, and did it include any WeLead networking or alumnae?
My journey on the Biden for President campaign began as a field organizer knocking on doors in Iowa. I worked my way up the ranks and ended up being the Virginia African American Vote Director on the campaign. After our victory, I worked on the Presidential Inaugural Committee. To say the least, my dedication and hard work was recognized by the campaign, and it paid off.
Any other thoughts on your WeLead experience?
It was amazing!! I am forever grateful for the opportunity.
Stallings has worked in multiple Congressional offices and, as a native of Delaware, eagerly joined the Biden for President campaign in 2019. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Delaware State University and a Master of Arts degree from Howard University, both in Political Science.
