We hope that you received President Burwell’s January 30 message launching the 2024 University Awards nomination process. We invite all faculty to nominate your outstanding colleagues for University Faculty Awards; self-nominations are also welcome.
Award categories include:
- Faculty Award for Inclusive Excellence (1 award)
- Morton Bender Prize (1 award)
- Outstanding Community Engagement Award (1 award)
- Outstanding Contribution to Fostering Collaborative Scholarship Award (1 award)
- Outstanding Scholarship, Research, Creative Activity, and Other Professional Contributions Award (1 award)
- Outstanding Service to the University Community Award (2 awards: 1 tenure-track/tenured/library continuing appointment-track/library continuing appointment, 1 term)
- Outstanding Teaching in a Full-Time Appointment Award (2 awards: 1 tenure-track/tenured, 1 term)
- Outstanding Teaching in an Adjunct Appointment Award (1 award)
- Scholar/Teacher of the Year Award (1 award)

The nomination process is now open; all submissions are due by Wednesday, February 21.
We will celebrate recipients of the 2024 University Faculty Awards at the Faculty Recognition Dinner in Claudio Grossman Hall (WCL) on Sunday, April 21.
We also encourage you to consider nominating staff colleagues for the University Staff Awards by March 1 and graduating students for University Student Awards by March 20.
