During last week’s Faculty Senate meeting, we announced that full-time faculty teaching courses as overloads will receive a flat rate of $12,000 per three-credit course (or $4,000 per credit) starting in summer 2024. This change comes in response to hearing from deans and faculty members that the overload pay amount needed to be increased. After considering a variety of models, we selected this approach to simplify the previous calculation that used a percentage of base salary and to nearly double the payment amount.
