Shawn Chatmon returns to American University after having spent more than seven years at varying higher education institutions in the sunshine state, Florida. Shawn lived and worked in New York prior to this where he is from. Prior to working in higher education, Shawn worked in both the fields of Mental Health and Education. Shawn’s skills lie in his ability to connect and engage with any and all people, helping students to realize and maximize their potential, and providing advocacy and support resources to those in need. Shawn’s message to all is simple: For you, the sky is not even the limit to the things that you are capable of doing when you are persistent, set your mind to it, and do it.
