Liz leads a six-person team dedicated to providing career advising and career education programming to 3600+ students in four schools, marketing and communications, and collaborations with faculty, staff, and student organizations to improve student equity and access to career services. She also serves as chair of the Career Center's DEI committee.
Liz joined the Career Center in 2009 as a staff member in the Office of Merit Awards. While there, she directed the Early Identification Program, which provides programming and advising for high-performing second-year students, and advised students on a range of study abroad, science, and post-graduate opportunities including the Gilman International Scholarship Program, Fulbright UK Summer Institutes, Marshall/Rhodes Scholarships, Udall Scholarship, and Rangel Summer Enrichment Program. She also managed the office’s administrative staff and oversaw applicant recruitment and events.
She serves as the Director of Communications on the Executive Board of the National Association of Fellowships Advisors (NAFA) and co-chair of NAFA's Technology, Publications, and Communications committee. Liz received a master's degree in international communication and education from AU’s School of International Service. Her professional experience also includes positions in arts marketing and communications for the Washington National Opera and the Choral Arts Society of Washington, where she is also a chorister.
Liz is AU's nominating official for the James C. Gaither Junior Fellows Program.
