The more than 128,000 AU alumni across the globe include scores of changemakers, the kinds of graduates AU has empowered since its founding. As you well know, AU strives to prepare our graduates to address the challenges of our ever-changing world—and the alumni we honor exemplify that focus.

We know our alumni are working on serious public health issues, at the forefront of cybersecurity and governance, and to ensure equity in our communities and workplaces. They are leaders in global businesses, countless nonprofits, and every area of the arts. By way of these and other important paths, AU alumni leave indelible marks on our world.  

Once a year, we celebrate our best and brightest graduates through the American University Alumni Association’s Alumni Awards program, and I’m excited to announce that nominations for 2019 awards are now open!

Alumni awards are the highest honors bestowed annually on AU alumni, and each year, we receive incredibly thoughtful submissions from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends. On behalf of our esteemed Alumni Board, the Office of Alumni Relations is accepting nominations through April 15.
