This document constitutes the American University’s Academic Regulations of graduate degree and non-degree programs except those offered exclusively by the Washington College of Law. Academic units and graduate programs may establish additional regulations for their students, but all students must follow these regulations. Based on a compelling rationale, an exception to a specific graduate academic regulation may be granted.
