Dear AU Community, 

On Monday, July 10, the Office of Information Technology will perform an upgrade to the phone system that serves the American University Police Department’s 24/7 Police Communications Center. Phones in the Police Communications Center will be offline from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The blue light emergency phones around campus also will not be available for use during the upgrade window.

If you need AUPD assistance during this time, please use the Rave Guardian Safety App or call AUPD Dispatch at 202-885-2530.  

The University Police encourages our campus community to download the Rave Guardian Safety App from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store. Instructions for downloading and configuring the app can be found at https://www.american.edu/police/crime-prevention-programs.cfm#tab-rave-guardian-4607127.
