Dear AU Faculty and Staff,

We are excited to announce a host of special programming at the U-Club through a partnership between the AU Kitchen, Office of the Dean of Faculty, Office of Inclusive Excellence, and AhealthyU and Human Resources. Starting next week, we will host the first of seven special events to offer our colleagues the chance to come together, unwind, and have fun at the U-Club, and beginning October 29, we will host the first of three Meet and Eat lunches.

Special Events Starting October 23

All faculty and staff are invited to sign up for:

• October 23 Quiz Pro Quo: DC-themed trivia from 3 to 5 p.m.

• October 28 Sweet and Spooky: An AU-themed costume contest from 3 to 5 p.m.

• November 13 Prose and Cons: An opportunity to enjoy AU works from 3 to 5 p.m.

Faculty members are invited to sign up for:

• October 22 Midterm Madness: Fuel up on coffee and breakfast with colleagues during midterm season from 8 to 10 a.m.

• December 4 Final Exam Breakfast Breather: Stop by for a quick bite and breather before final exams kick-off from 8 to 10 a.m.

Staff members are invited to sign up for:

• December 3 Coffee Talk: Drop by, grab coffee, a bite to eat, and catch up with colleagues from 9 to 11 a.m.

• December 10 Holiday Cookie Contest: Put your baking skills to the test for the holiday cookie contest from 3 to 5 p.m.

Meet and Eat Lunch Series Beginning October 29 

Join your colleagues for lunch over table topics designed to help us build community and strengthen our collegial bonds on October 29, November 12, and December 4. We encourage individuals to book in advance, and we’ll pair you with your colleagues throughout the U-Club. Reservations are required to be made on the Open Table platform with a special lunch rate of $11 per person.
